FinnMETKO 2022 exhibition will bring professionals from the heavy machinery and transport industry to Jämsä

FinnMETKO 2022, a large professional exhibition for the heavy machinery industries, will begin on Thursday in Jämsä. The exhibition will bring together heavy machinery professionals from the earthmoving, forestry, logistics and bioenergy industries.

Even more cost-effective solutions and new driving powers have risen to become increasingly important areas of development for heavy machinery and transport industry equipment. The recent rise in the price of fuels and other costs has accelerated this development work. The FinnMETKO exhibition showcases a wide range of the latest technology and new solutions in the industries. 

Cost-effectiveness in heavy machinery and transport work is also sought through technical solutions which facilitate work for drivers. Increased automation and digital applications help drivers to perform more efficiently. Automated and digital solutions from different manufacturers are also thoroughly showcased at FinnMETKO.

The expansive exhibition area presents earthmoving, timber harvesting, the energy industry and logistics in a range of forms: machine and device manufacturers, spare parts, tools, machinery accessories, and industry services and organisations. Demonstrations add excitement to the exhibition. Timber harvesting demonstrations are at the north part of the area, where you can also watch chipping, crushing, and stump grinding demonstrations. Log splitters will be shown at work in the stands in the exhibition’s central area.

On Friday, FinnMETKO will crown the winner of the Finnish forest machine operator championships and on Saturday, the earthmoving machine operators will fight it out to see who is best at using earthmoving machines.
FinnMETKO 2022 will be held in Jämsä from 1.–3.9.2022. The exhibition is open to the public daily from 9.00am – 5.00pm.

The FinnMETKO 2022 professional and sales trade fair is Finland’s main event for the heavy machine industry. The organizer responsible for FinnMETKO 2022 is Finnmetko Oy. The organizations behind the exhibition are the Trade Association of Finnish Forestry and Earthmoving Contractors and Keski-Suomen Koneyrittäjät ry.
