Big machines showcase at FinnMETKO: remanufacturing on the rise

At FinnMETKO 2026, opening on Thursday, visitors will experience the most impressive display of heavy machinery, equipment, and commercial vehicles in the Nordic countries. More than 380 exhibitors will present world-class new launches, but visitors will also find plenty of refurbished and remanufactured equipment.
Factory remanufacturing is gaining momentum, and several industry players have invested in reman operations as part of their aftermarket business. This trend will also be visible at FinnMETKO. Factory-remanufactured engines and equipment, as well as reman services, will be on display at several stands. Remanufacturing extends the service life of older machines and equipment with a lower investment than purchasing new replacements. In addition, recycling components and extending machine lifecycles helps conserve natural resources.
FinnMETKO brings together all major manufacturers and suppliers of heavy machinery, commercial vehicles, equipment, and spare parts, along with companies operating in logistics, earthmoving, forestry, and energy sectors. The exhibition also features a broad range of service providers, industry associations, educational institutions, and other stakeholders connected to the contracting industries.

Finnish expertise and markets in the machinery industries are also attracting interest abroad, as reflected in the growing number of international exhibitors at FinnMETKO. The exhibition is becoming increasingly international.
- The total number of exhibitors has increased compared with the previous event, while the proportion of international exhibitors has doubled. Finnish expertise is also attracting international trade visitors, says Hirvikoski.
More Than 150 Hectares of Cutting-Edge Technology
There is plenty to see and explore at FinnMETKO: the exhibition area covers more than 150 hectares. Earthmoving machinery will be concentrated in the northern section of the site at the former Kaakkolammi gravel extraction area. Commercial vehicles can be found in the central part of the exhibition grounds, while forestry machinery will be displayed in the southern section and in live timber harvesting demonstrations in the north.
A new feature this year is the energy wood harvesting demonstrations located in the central area of the exhibition. Several exhibitors will showcase their equipment and solutions in live demonstrations focused on energy wood harvesting.
FinnMETKO 2026 will be open to the public from 3–5 September 2026, daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
