New technology solutions can lead to improved productivity, efficiency and profitability in the heavy machinery and transportation industries. FinnMETKO 2016, Finland's largest professional trade fair for the machinery industries, opens on Thursday, September 1, 2016 in Jämsä.
With the economic downturn emphasizing the importance of productivity and efficiency, there is a natural need to seek out new innovations and improved ways of working. The FinnMETKO 2016 trade fair, kicking off tomorrow, provides an opportunity to do just that. Finland’s largest professional and sales fair for the heavy machinery industry hosts the latest from energy, logging, earth moving and logistics machinery and equipment manufacturers and service providers, and gives them the opportunity to present their answers to current challenges.
One of the focus points this year is the improvement of the fuel efficiency, operational reliability and performance of machinery. Despite today's decreased oil prices, fuel efficiency is still a major theme in product development. Additionally, digitalization and increases in automation provide opportunities for developing, monitoring and analyzing machinery performance, which has led to a surge of automation and monitoring systems and a variety of remote maintenance services.
Demonstrations have always been an integral part of FinnMETKO. The earthwork and logging demonstration area offers visitors the chance to see and test drive the machines in a real working environment.
The FinnMETKO trade fair is being held for the 16th time. Nearly 400 exhibitors have signed up for the fair this year. The exhibitors include the main machinery, equipment and spare parts manufacturers in the heavy machinery and commercial vehicle industries and suppliers from the earthworks, forestry and energy sectors. The trade fair also features many ancillary services providers and stakeholders from the machinery industry.
FinnMETKO 2016 is open to the public between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm from September 1 to September 3, 2016.
This professional and sales fair is the main event for the heavy machinery industry in Finland.
